Hi there! My name is Dru-Anne Palaima, and I am a passionate and highly reputable Event and Marketing Director currently for Downtown Freehold. And with over two decades of professional experience, I’m a 20+ year veteran in the entertainment business, I have a strong background consisting of event fundraising and successful entertainment bookings and have developed the fundamental leadership skills to drive favorable outcomes every time.
Born in Edison, raised in Manalapan, attended Brookdale Community College, the strive for bettering the community has always been something embedded in me. In fact, during my pre-teen years, I volunteered to raise money to build the Freehold Hospital. This mindset stuck with me into my adult years, where I now volunteer and donate for large causes, including Cohn’s and Colitis, Juvenile Diabetes, American Heart, Raising Hope for Others, Entertainers for A Cause, and many others. Furthermore, I am a Member of IMDb, a Certified Instructor at Donna Dewberry, a Board Member of the Freehold Borough Arts Council and Entertainers For A Cause, LLC. Also Co-Owner of Poshe Social Events, LLC.
Today, I have a substantial inventory of accomplishments to date. However, some of my more notable ones include hosting my first fundraiser for a charity that involved 18 Soap Actors donating their time at a Celebrity bartending event, co-organizing the first fundraiser in New Jersey for Storm Sandy to help the community rebuild, leading one of the first Jazz & Blues Summer Concert Series in Downtown Freehold, and pioneering the first Jazz, Blues & More Festival in Downtown Freehold. Overall, being able to intertwine my commitment to advancing communities with my second passion for entertainment has allowed me to reach prospering results thus far. Whether it be coordinating events for acoustics, bands, celebrities, comedians, fundraisers, festivals, karaoke, etc., I take pride in leveraging my expertise to make every event a purposeful and spearheading one.
All in all, I take immense pride in my work and enjoy being able to leverage my collective skills and “get things done” attitude to leave a lasting mark in society. I have a true ardency for my career, value integrity and trust, and demonstrate my underlying devotion by delivering qualified, professional, and seamless event marketing services, all while ensuring the community I am supporting has excellent constructive growth and development experiences along the way. And though my drive to create something new and revamp something old is a powerful one, you can often find me painting, jewelry making, going on vacations, sightseeing, enjoying being a new grandmother, and learning about how others live in their communities in my downtime.
