My name is Diana Ocasio-Mancebo born in Los Angeles, California and raised briefly in Brooklyn NY, and fully raised in Carolina Puerto Rico. I currently live in Louisville Kentucky for the past 7 years. My music/singing abilities stems from my mom’s side of the family. My mom sang with Erasmus High School Choir in Brooklyn NY where Barbara Streisand was also a Choral singer with my mom. My mom was my first vocal coach leading the path to what should have become a Music/Entertainment career. Throughout my life I have sang for special dignitaries including Mr. Raphael Hernandez Colon, the governor of Puerto Rico back in 1984. Furthermore, over the years I have won many local music awards, and academic scholarships. Two of those academic music scholarships won was to UMass at Amherst, and University of Puerto Rico. eventually in 1986 I entered the University of Puerto Rico through a music Scholarship earning a seat in the Choir of the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus under the direction of Dr. Carmen Acevedo. In 1988, I transferred to SUNY College at Old Westbury in NY graduating with a BS in Education and retiring from teaching 30 years from the State of New Jersey in 2014.
Over the year’s life has afforded me with experiences to be involved nationally with music with my husband DJ Axl Joe. Currently being a scout, I have sent many singers to American Idol Front of the Line Program for American Idol. Currently, one of our Clients Jackson Snelling, was one we sent to the program in 2020. Lastly, I am one of the officers for Entertainers for a Cause. I am excited and a great honor to be an officer alongside Dru-Anne Palaima, Joe Kahwaty, and Irene-Penny Petroff.
